Should Facebook be blocked?

Students perspective :

I think Facebook should stay blocked, only because it distracts children from doing their work. Most dramas are caused on social media so I think it was a good idea to block facebook.

Teacher/Principal perspective :

Social media these days are what most kids care about. The distraction that social media makes is very high so blocking any social media would benefit them doing their work. So I say it was a good idea to block facebook.

Majority of people make mistakes and give up, just carry on and learn from it. Dont stop and a big tangi about it, do what is right not whats easy! Life doesn't require that we be the best, only that we try our best!

Botanical Gardens Trip

Botanical Gardens

On Friday, we went to Botanical Gardens for a field trip to learn about plants and growing. Before we got there the buses were late. We arrived and we all got put into groups. Luckily I got put into a group with my friends. We first started at the Herb Garden. I don't think we were supposed to pick the herbs. But one of the plants smelt so nice,  so I had to pick it! It smelt like lemon. My group adult was Miss Parker, she was pretty cool. We took lots of pictures of us and the nature around us. All we could hear was the birds tweeting, the air whistling and the motorway. Botanical Gardens is the most quietest place I’ve ever been to.

After we wandered around we went back to the meeting place, and went with this lady named... I forgot her name, Oh well. We learnt a new word ...biodiversity... She asked a question, what is the difference between endemic and Native? No one knew. We planted Harakeke and this other plant I don't know what it was called.

My Botanical Garden experience was really fun, I enjoyed!

Learning Languages

At school we've been learning about the Maori language. We got to draw a Maori design too,

Mine is in at the end! We also learnt how many letters there are in the Maori alphabet...
